COP26 – Once in A LifetimePublished on: 27th October 2021
COP26, starting in Glasgow next week, is that once in a lifetime chance for the city to have the eyes of the world upon it, and for us all to hope for meaningful commitments to climate change targets, and how they will be met.
Some landlords have also seen a once-in-a-lifetime chance to capitalise on short-term property lets. Both The Times and The Herald reported on one apartment being a snip at £103k for the fortnight – it’s not clear if this includes complimentary toiletries and bathrobes. We jest; however just last week the Financial Times had Glasgow lettings in the news again, this time at the bargain price of a mere £37k for the two-week run of the conference.
At Robb Residential we take a more responsible and long-term letting view. We let and manage beautiful properties in cities and the country, where tenants feel at home and landlords know their investments are in good hands.
If you are looking to let in, for example, Glasgow or Edinburgh, you will perhaps be aware of the shortage of stock as students and others return to cities. Robb Residential always have new properties coming on our letting books, and it’s a good idea to register with us, and we can get in touch when a rental property appears matching your requirements.
As a result of COP26, and as autumn sets in, we can expect some properties to move from the short-term and holiday markets to the more traditional letting model. Robb Residential’s dedicated Lettings’ Team are here to assist and always willing to offer any advice.
