A pretty detached cottage in generous deer fenced gardens with stunning views of Loch Fyne and the surrounding landscape.

Allt Darrach Cottage was built by the local builder, Archibald Fergusson, in 1981 and it is of Fyfestone outer construction over a timber frame and all under a tiled roof. The accommodation is laid out across a light, bright, easily managed single-storey level. The front rooms are slightly elevated, which means they enjoy wonderful aspects out across Loch Fyne and beyond to the surrounding mountains and sea loch sided glens.

Allt Darach Cottage has two bedrooms, one open plan public room, as well as a nicely refitted kitchen and bathroom with bath and shower.

Allt Darach Cottage is set within garden grounds of about 0.82 acres with open Loch Fyne views to the front and rising to an area of semi ancient native woodland at the rear.

The gardens are bounded by secure full height deer fencing, a cattle grid and personal gate lead to a gravel chip driveway to a turning roundel in front of the house. There are well tended lawns with mixed shrub, bush and border plants as well as some colourful and climbing rose bushes. A flagstone pathway leads to the entrance door as well as the rear where there is a stone retaining wall supporting further shrubs, bush and flower beds. The gardens rise at the rear to an area of mature semi ancient native woodlands which provide amenity, interest and wildlife habitat.

Allt Darach Cottage occupies a peaceful location on the fringe of the pretty and rural west facing Loch Fyne-side village of Strachur.

Allt Darach Cottage is located in an area of dramatic natural beauty. The property faces west and there are superb views across Loch Fyne to the hills and glens beyond.
