Torrance is in East Dunbartonshire and is situated east of Bearsden and Milngavie, west of Kirkintilloch and just to the north of Bishopbriggs.

From Glasgow city centre proceed in an easterly direction on the M8 motorway. Exit left at junction 15 signposted Springburn A803. Continue on the A803 and through Bishopbriggs for 4.3 miles. At the roundabout follow signs A807 signposted Bearsden, Milngavie, Torrance. Proceed on the A807 (Torrance Road) for 0.7 miles. At the roundabout take the second exit onto the B822 signposted Torrance Lennoxtown. Continue on Torrance Main Street for 0.3 miles to reach the traffic lights. Bear left at the lights onto West Balgrochan Road, continue for a further 0.3 miles to find West Balgrochan Cottage on the left hand side.
