The centre of Kilmarnock is about 4 miles to the south west and the on and off spurs of the A77/M77 Kilmarnock bypass are only 2 miles distant, making it convenient to travel to Glasgow as well as the developing Ayrshire coastline.
Kilmarnock town has an extensive range of shopping and retail facilities, professional services, primary and secondary schooling, bus and mainline railway stations. There are also schools in Fenwick and Galston.
The A77/M77 also provides easy access to Prestwick airport (12.5 miles) and Glasgow airport (21 miles).
The ferry terminal at Stranraer (56 miles) provides access to Ireland.

Travel Directions
Leave Glasgow on the M77 - this becomes the A77 just after Fenwick. Leave the A77 at the Grassyards Interchange. (2nd Kilmarnock exit). Straight across at the top of the slip road following the sign to Moscow. After about 2.2 miles you will see West Raws Farm on the left and East Raws Cottage on the right. Turn LEFT ( jagged tree stump) immediately alongside farm buildings. About 300 yds on single track road - White bungalow on left. Harrowhill Cottage entrance is on the RIGHT - on the bend. House sign in the hedge. Proceed to the end of the drive which terminates at the house.
