Lochlea is located on a slightly elevated site in an area known locally as the Johnshill on the eastern edge of the popular and pretty west Renfrewshire village of Lochwinnoch.
The house is set amid mature, well stocked and easily tended gardens and from its prominent setting there are fine views east towards Castle Semple Loch and the hills above Howwood beyond.
Lochwinnoch is a charming and popular Renfrewshire village which has a good range of local shops, cafes and welcoming village and country pubs together with a good range of amenities that comfortably cater for every day needs and requirements. There is a good local primary school with secondary schooling in both the state and private sectors in the district. The independent St Columbas school in Kilmacolm (9 miles) has both junior and senior schools.
For a fuller weekly shop there is a Tesco store in Kilbirnie (3.7 miles), a Co-op at Beith (3.7 miles), a Morrisons at Johnstone (6.7 miles) and a Tesco store at Linwood (8.4 miles).

From Glasgow city centre proceed west on the M8 motorway. After 9 miles take junction 29 (A737) following signs Irvine. Continue on the A737 for 8 miles before turning right at the round-a-bout onto the A760 following signs Largs. At the traffic lights turn right on to Lochwinnoch Main St. Proceed along the main st and up Johnshill, Lochlea is the second property on the left hand side after the junction on the left for Crawfurds View.
